Singapore turns 51 this year, on 9 August 2016.
We’re a small country, but we have big talents. I’d like to share with you storytellers a song written, composed and sang by a Singaporean singing duo “The Freshman”.
This song was originally written in Mandarin Chinese (for a local telemovie), but they decided on an alternative “localized” version (because why not!!), incorporating the slangs and words only Singaporeans know and can relate to.
Here’s a peak into the Singapore culture!
Hope you enjoy! Good things must be shared 🙂
P.S. Cantik is Malay for beautiful, it is pronounced as “chan take”.
