If there is one single place that is virtually on everyone’s bucket list – it’s definitely Santorini, a gorgeous island in Greece that belongs to its so-called “Cyclades” family of related islands. Santorini is extraordinarily picturesque, it is a true open air museum – make sure to bring extra camera batteries with you, as you will need them. Needless to say – if you ever get a lucky chance to spend your holidays or maybe even a honeymoon in Santorini, you will never be disappointed, as this place is worth every praise that’s ever been issued to it.
There are tons of things to do in Santorini and they will be covered in the next article. This post was meant to simply give you a quick glimpse into what this famous place, that’s everyone talking about – has to offer.
P.S. If you’re wondering what’s the easiest way to get here – you can catch a 20 minute fly directly from Athens, or you can catch a ferry, which is a much longer trip (about 8 hours), but if you’re not pressured for time – then why not?
Beautiful city of Oia – did you know that Santorini actually has a number of different, small cities spread across the island? If you’re looking to stay in the most famous city of Santorini – look no further, it’s called Oia!
