Panama City is the beautiful capital of Panama – a country by the same name. It is the safest country in Central and South America, and strangely enough one of the least explored. It is quite a large city but you can easily navigate it by taking one of the cheap local taxis that are practically everywhere. Please note that Spanish is the primary language spoken in Panama and you will need to know at least a few basic words to get by in Panama, since almost no one here speaks any English.
Everyone has probably heard of the famous “Panama Canal” – the very first canal built to connect the Atlantic with the Pacific oceans. It is in fact located next to the Panama City and can be easily accessed by a taxi, a rented car, or even a tour bus. However, this city is not just about its famous canal, as it has a lot more attractions to offer – if you don’t believe me – check out this gallery below.
