We’ve already covered the top 10 sights in Guilin, including some of its most famous day trips – Longji Rice Terraces and the River Li cruise. In this particular post, we wanted to share some more pictures of Guilin – just to show you how beautiful this town truly is.
Basic Information About Guilin:
Guilin is a “small” city (current population is around 5 million) located in the Southwest region of China. It is mostly famous for the gorgeous Karst topography – typical of this area.
If you’re wondering what is the best time to visit Guilin – it is normally from April to October. Though it will be mostly hot and humid, since this region has a subtropical climate, with frequent rainfalls. Also it is not recommended to travel here in the weeks of national holidays (May 1-7) and (October 1-7). These two weeks are some of the busiest in a year, when a lot of locals have their annual vacations.
Guilin is also a very touristy town, and therefore there are lots of accommodations – ranging from 5-star luxury hotels, to low budget hostels. In addition, it is easily accessible by planes, busses and trains due to its very modern transportation network. It is recommended to stay here at least 3-4 days to experience the best of what this gorgeous city has to offer.
